Rolfing is an elegant form of hands-on bodywork that aims to reestablish order in your physical structure.

We all have patterns marked into our bodies by our life experiences. These can include bad posture from hours at a computer, trauma from injury or surgery, overuse during exercise, and emotional trauma.

Living with these patterns can feel painful or exhausting; they may drain your energy as your body struggles to maintain long-held habits. Whether you experience chronic pain or occasional discomfort, rolfing returns you to a clearer, more flowing state, shifting both your physical self and your internal awareness.

When your body is more organized, it is easier to move and breathe. The connections between body and soul shift and deepen.

How it works

Over time, your experience of living in your body creates patterns, through gravity, emotion, physical activity, and trauma. Some patterns are negative and others are positive; we want to correct the ones that cause pain/discomfort.

Who it helps

People who come to rolfing tend to be those who…

– want to improve their posture

-are experiencing chronic pain from tension or headaches

-have experienced whiplash in car accidents

-have scar tissue from surgeries

-are mothers whose structures have shifted during pregnancy
