As Rolfers, we work to bring ease and order into the structure of the body. We do this primarily by opening, shifting and creating fluidity in the fascial network, carefully including all of the fascial layers of the body, from superficial to deep. We are also very aware of how nerve, organ, and muscle tissue are affected by and related to the fascial network.
Another important aspect of how rolfing structural integration works, and how the information stays in the body is through the inclusion of awareness of movement patterns, and the felt experience of the body. After each session we do some work standing and moving to ensure that you can feel how the shifts that happen on the table relate to your use of your body as you move through your day.
