Movement has always been my first language. I grew up studying ballet, and in college I discovered contact improvisation, a form of dance that taught me to listen to weight, balance, and the bodies around me.
For four summers I worked as a river guide in Moab. Rowing big water and living outside showed me both the strength and the limits of my own body, and gave me a deep respect for the rhythms of the natural world.
I first came to Rolfing hoping to unravel the habits that years of ballet had built into my structure. The changes I felt were so meaningful that I chose to train as a Rolfer myself, and I have been practicing as a Certified Rolfer since 2003.
Dance is still part of my life through the 5 Rhythms community here in Salt Lake City. In my sessions I bring that same attention to how you move, helping your body find more options, more ease, and a greater sense of being at home in itself.

★★★★★
“Mary is simply the best. Her 10 part rolfing sessions helped me to be able to run and jump rope, where I haven't been able to comfortably do those activities for 10 years. She's skilled, professional, and incredibly positive. I highly recommend her.”
